Job duties: Conducts market research analysis for the generation of new account leadsKeeps current with trade magazines and regularly communicates with customers so as to stay abreast of industry trends.Networks with internal and external contacts to determine new sales business opportunities.Proactively establishes and sustains open lines of communication with all customers and provides timely responses to inquiries, conveying concise and accurate information.Develops and maintains customer account base.Expands existing sales market and actively seeks out new sales opportunities.Generates new orders for the company’s products, systems and services to meet company, Equipment Group marketing and sales goals and objectives.Keeps current on all products from a technical, applications, pricing and selling benefits standpoint.Acquires information required to prepare sales proposals and presents them to customers.Develops strategic marketing and sales plans that meet or exceed the department’s annual sales objectives.Develops reliable written estimates of products, materials and delivery costs with quote letter and Terms & Conditions, and reviews such quotes and estimates with the Director of Sales & Marketing prior to submission. Prepares sales contracts and consults with customers during and after the finalization of a sale, ensuring throughout that problems are resolved and ongoing customer support is provided. See Creating Rental And Sales Agreements Procedure.Maintains expense records and vehicle log book in accordance with Corporate and Equipment Group policies and procedures.Reviews manufacturers’ product descriptions and speaks with manufacturers’ representatives to learn about new products or services.Researches competitor’s promotional strategies by analyzing promotional materials and conducting site observations.Utilizes CRM software to complete all documentation, and records associated filing and sales-lead tracking.Supports a safe working environment by actively participating and engaging in Company Workplace Safety and Health training, and adheres to all policies, systems and practices. Key attributes, work experience & qualifications Must be self-motivated and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills (written and oral). Must be confident, assertive and credible. Must be able to work in a fast-paced business environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage customer issues and concerns in a calm, professional manner. Must be committed to a collaborative team approach to customer service delivery. Must demonstrate a proven ability to strategically organize own time and to self-monitor own sales performances against quarterly and annual sales targets. Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience in a marketing and sales administrative role. Industry knowledge of products for sale and rent such as light towers, generators, pumps, heaters as well as safe Access equipment, such as ladders, scaffolding, platforms, etc. for the Aerospace, Construction, Government, Mining and Petrochem Industries. Proficiency in the use of computer software applications including spreadsheets, word processing and email applications. Valid Class 5 license and use of vehicle required. High school diploma or equivalent, with a college or university degree preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.
